Jeff Hirsch is a veteran digital media executive with over 30 years of management and marketing experience. He joined PubMatic as CMO in 2016, bringing with him extensive experience in startups and high-growth companies, thriving on the energy inherent in rapidly expanding organizations and the challenge of building successful companies. As CMO, Jeff leads PubMatic’s global brand and go-to-market strategies, reinforcing the company’s position as the automation solutions company for an open digital media industry. In mid 2017, Jeff added the responsibilities of leading the US Publisher Development team and now leads a team responsible for all new US publisher relationship .
Prior to joining PubMatic, Jeff was the CMO of personalized video technology company SundaySky. He has also held several executive-level positions at a range of technology companies: AudienceScience, where he served as CEO of the global data technology company; Fastclick, where he served as chief revenue officer from start through exit; and ValueClick, where he served both pre-IPO and later as the SVP of business development. Earlier in his career, Jeff was the CEO of the Inc. 500 software company Xytech Systems and the regional ad agency Jeffrey Scott Ltd.
Jeff founded the Behavioral Targeting Consortium in 2008, at the beginning of the digital data revolution, which boasts over 1,400 members, and he also sat on the board of the IAB. He holds a bachelor’s degree in experimental psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
